Meet Ryan, he is the founder & owner of Recharge Sports Therapy.
He works with a wide range of individuals, ranging from professional athletes to weekend warriors and everyone in between. Ryan utilizes a comprehensive approach when designing his rehabilitation programs for his patients to ensure the most efficient treatment. He has experience working with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Bison Football Team, Winnipeg Rifles Team, and many other teams. He was involved in the Canada Summer Games, USports Mens Volleyball Championship, Bison Strength, and has significant strength and conditioning experience. Aside from teams, Ryan works with everyone ranging from youth, to the aging population.
In his spare time, Ryan enjoys competitive bodybuilding, cycling, & spending time with family and friends.
Meet Anisha, a Physiotherapist at Recharge.
She graduated from North Dakota State University (NDSU) with a Bachelor of Science (Exercise Science) and a minor in psychology in 2016. While at NDSU, Anisha was apart of the Women's Soccer Division 1 (D1) team.
In 2019 she graduated from McMaster University with a Masters in Physiotherapy.
Anisha's passion for physiotherapy started as a young kid and hopes to express that passion and love with her patients. Anisha has currently completed her Orthopedic Level 1 and is in the process of completing her acupuncture certification.
In her spare time, she runs a soccer academy A.K. Soccer Academy with her father. She is the Technical Director of the Academy and holds a Canadian Soccer Association C-License. Her ultimate goal is to apply her knowledge on injury prevention, medical rehabilitation to benefit the development of the athletes.
Meet Paul, an Athletic Therapist at Recharge.
He graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor’s of Kinesiology majoring in Athletic Therapy in June 2018, and certified in 2018. Throughout his university career, Paul has garnered over 1200 hours of clinical and field experience through his practicums with a variety of clinics across the city and at the University of Manitoba, university-level sports teams as well as high-school level sports teams mainly consisting of football, basketball, and soccer. Paul is a determined, motivated, and driven individual who is passionate about helping his patients overcome their diagnosis and help provide the confidence and robustness needed to return to activities of daily living/return to sport/return to work while providing pain relief and recovery. Aside from the clinic, Paul enjoys providing field Athletic Therapy Services during the spring and summer seasons for a variety of sports.
In his spare time, Paul enjoys the outdoors, travelling, motorcycles, cars, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Meet Myron, a Registered Massage Therapist at Recharge.
He is a Winnipeg trained and licensed professional that practices hands-on movement of soft tissue body to enhance his clients' well-being. He achieved his certification from Massage Therapy Association of Manitoba. Prior to becoming a massage therapist, Myron has had multiple experience in customer service and relaxation therapy as he previously worked at a spa.
After having been in 2 car accidents in his life, Myron quickly learned first-hand how massage therapy can heal the body as it played a significant role in his recovery. This inspired him to pursue a career in massage therapy so that he could help others experience the same benefits that he received. From relaxation and deep tissue to sports massage and injury prevention, Myron has always loved helping others and massage therapy allows him to do so.
In his spare time Myron enjoys learning about Finance and playing with his Puppy.
Dr. Terence Coutou
Meet Dr. Coutou, a Chiropractor at Recharge.
Dr. Coutou is excited to return his hometown of Winnipeg to give back to the community that provided so much to him growing up. As a graduate of Canadian memorial chiropractic college, Dr. Coutou has obtained the skills, knowledge, and clinical experience to best serve those in need of chiropractic care.
Growing up in Winnipeg, Dr. Coutou was immersed in the football community, he excelled to the level of university athlete on the Manitoba Bisons. During this time, Dr. Coutou obtained a bachelor’s of kinesiology, achieving Academic All Canadian honours. His practicum experience for his bachelor’s degree was involved in providing athletic performance training to Bison athletes as a strength and conditioning coach.
Dr. Coutou is forever grateful for those involved in his health care and wellbeing growing up as an athete. An integral part of this team was his chiropractor. Chiropractic benefiteed Dr. Coutou by optimizing his functionality in life an sport, rehabbing injuries obtained, and supporting his nutritional and fitness goals along the way. Dr. Coutou would be honoured to become a part of your health care team!
Dr. Coutou is dedicated to helping anyone and everyone reaching their fitness goals. On his time of, he enjoys cycling, exercising, and being with family. He is looking forward to rediscovering the city that he is passionate about after living away from home. Meet Amanda, a Registered Dietitian at Recharge.
She graduated from the University of Manitoba with both a Bachelor’s of Human Nutritional Sciences in 2015 and a Master’s of Science in 2017. Amanda started her career working for various research studies with the University of Manitoba before completing the Manitoba Partnership Dietetic Education Program in 2018. Since becoming a Registered Dietitian, she has worked in community programing, long-term care, management and teaching at the University level. Amanda is passionate about helping clients set and meet their nutritional goals for long-term health and wellness.
In her spare time Amanda enjoys hot yoga, running, cooking and drinking coffee.

Meet Nolan, The Clinical Exercise Physiologist at Recharge
He is pursuing his Master of Science (Kinesiology and Recreation Management) at the University of Manitoba studying womens heart health and frailty. Nolan spent his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at Acadia focusing on helping those inflicted with chronic disease. During this time, Nolan assisted Fountain of Health™ as the Project Coordinator for a PILOT study relating to primary health care. Nolan has continued his goal of improving quality of life in Canada as he continues his studies and clinical practice. Nolan has experience with high performance athletes, those who have a history of heart attacks, strokes, neuromuscular conditions, arthritis, respiratory conditions, and other chronic conditions. He is devoted to creating better outcomes for people in Canada across their lifespan.
In his spare time, he enjoys caring for his reptiles, spending time with his friends and family, and staying active in the gym
Meet Manny, an Assistant/Field Therapist at Recharge. He is currently a student at the University of Manitoba in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Recreation Management majoring in Athletic Therapy.
Manny is a motivated individual who is passionate about health and fitness. The desire to help others along with his passion pushed him to pursue a career in Athletic Therapy. He has helped many of his friends and family adapt a physically active lifestyle and achieve their goals since he was 16. Along with work and volunteering, he has also been the recipient of a scholarship award from the University of Manitoba for his academic achievements. Manny is hard working, reliable and always learning the best methods to ensure that patients get the optimal treatment at Recharge Sports Therapy. He is currently the co-head student therapist for the Bison Women's soccer team.
In his spare time, he loves to both watch and play soccer, workout in the gym and spend time with friends and family.
Meet Kevin, an Assistant/Field Therapist at Recharge. He is currently a student at the University of Winnipeg in the Athletic Therapy program building off of a Bachelor of Physical Education (Hons.) previously obtained from Brock University.
With his desire to blend the human body, his love of sports, and helping others into one profession, Kevin has accumulated 1000 hours of fieldwork experience in fencing, football, hockey, soccer, wrestling, volleyball, and squash.
With his diverse experience, coupled with Kevin's involvement in athletics as a soccer player for 10 years, he can provide a unique perspective of both trainer and athlete.
With this duality of perspectives, Kevin yields the ability to understand the day-to-day needs of his clients in a fluid manner. This can be observed through his work during sport-specific rehabilitation scenarios and his knack for addressing the non-physical needs of his athletes as trusted sideline support.
In his spare time, he enjoys engaging in parkour, pool, and gaming, with hopes of coupling his profession and passion in the Esports industry.
Meet Paulina, a Receptionist at Recharge.
Paulina is a student at the University of Manitoba finishing a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in biology and psychology. She aspires to work in the field of sports medicine in order to help prevent and treat injuries associated with athletics. Paulina is a highly motivated individual whose background in coaching and tutoring provides her with the ability to provide a positive, friendly and organized environment for all her students and colleagues. Paulina's excellent interpersonal skills allow her to communicate successfully with all teams she finds herself working on. Her passion for organization and learning allows her to always keep an open mind and an organized environment making sure all is functioning at its best.
In Her spare time, she goes to the gym, spends quality time with friends and family, partakes in drop-in salsa classes, and is always on the lookout for local restaurants with unique and tasty dishes. Paulina has a passion for travel and exploring the outdoors, not only will you find her catching fish, but she also enjoys hiking, kayaking and other water sports.
Meet Karla, a Receptionist at Recharge
Karla is currently a student at the University of Manitoba and is in the final year of her nursing degree. She aspires to one day work with children whether it be through labour and delivery or pediatric surgery. The love for wanting to work with children comes from her previous experience of being a Filipino folk dancer of 12 years and a children's instructor for 6. Previously, Karla has also involved herself with a background in hip hop dance. She is passionate about building positive communication and an energetic environment with her colleagues and patients, whether that be at the hospital or at Recharge! Karla strives to make sure things are organized and well thought out to benefit any team she finds herself on, whether that be for her coworkers or all the patients she comes across. You can find Karla always smiling and laughing, so be sure to say hello!
In her spare time, you can find Karla spending time with her friends and family, shooting film photography around Winnipeg, content creating for social media, and geek-ing out over all things stationery.
Meet Maya, a Receptionist at Recharge.
Maya is currently in her third year at the University of Manitoba working towards a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree with a double minor in biology and psychology. Growing up, Maya played multiple high-level sports including soccer, hockey, and ran cross country. She aspires to work in the medical or physiotherapy field to better the lives and health of others. Her excellent interpersonal skills stem from countless amounts of volunteer, coaching, and tutoring hours in her community. Maya always has a smile on her face and is always ready to learn.
In her spare time, Maya enjoys watching professional sports, going to the gym, and, she loves discovering new music to listen to. She also enjoys reading and completing NYT crossword puzzles as it keeps her mind sharp and helps improve her memory.
